Life is good. :)

This week really flew by. I can´t believe how fast it goes.
All I know is that I don´t want to arrive at the end of my mission and wish I had done more or worked harder.

I´m lacking on a quote or a scripture for this week. Sorry. :(
We actually worked really hard this week so I think my mind is has shut itself down for this p-day.

BUT. I am still thinking about all of you!

I Love My Family

I think I need to dedicate this weeks email to expressing my love for my family.
I don´t know how an email can really suffice for my feelings, but I need to try.

My family and I... we´ve been through a lot. Not more than any other family and not less... but a lot.
And it´s easy to look back at the hard times and complain.
It´s easy to look back at the hurtful times and cry.
But it´s the most beautiful and releaving feeling in the world to know that they are still here.

My family is not perfect. And a lot of that accounts to us being human.
I am so far from perfect it´s a little bit hysterical which is perfect because it brings humor to the trials.

My family has not always been the most faithful. Or patient. Or kind. Or productive.
But my family almost always will learn from the mistakes.

My family together can sometimes be a wreck, an adventure, and every other adjective you can think of.

My family... sometimes we feel lost.
But only when we´re apart.
Because when we´re together we´re found. Even on the most tiring of days.

My dad is the ship. My mom is the sail. And God is the wind.
The personalities on board are a little harder to explain.

The gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives. It has change my family.
And I will never give that up for anything.
They are my anchor. They are my home. They are my eternity.

And this is why I´m serving a mission.

Christmas Devotional

Another week!

Hello! Hello!

This week has been long. And hard. But amazing.

Last week we met a man through a recent convert who wanted to change his life.
He had been drinking and smoking for the last 50 something years.
He lost his family 10 years ago because of it.
He says he gets a great income, but it always ends up being gone.
And he´s tired of it.
He´s tried to quit but nothing has worked and he just wants to turn  his life around.

Sunday he was baptized.
He was prepared. He was ready. And he wanted relief more than anything else in the world.
In one week with God and the gospel of Jesus Christ he overcame two vices of 50 years and is going strong.
The atonement is something that we will never fully comprehend.
But I can comprehend the joy in the eyes of this man.
This is why I´m serving a mission.

Stay strong. Sometimes it´s incredibly hard. But the Lord knows and we will grow.

I love Transfers!

Okay! Drum rooooooollllll pleaaaaaaaase!
..............................
......................................................................
....................................................................................................
....................................................................................................
We stayed!
Which means Sister Tirrell and I are still here together in Santa Gertrudes!
I am more than grateful! I didn´t feel like our work here was done together.
.... and guess what!? Neither did the Lord!

I´ve been really sick lately... and my companion, but we´re pushing through.
Thanks for all of your prayers for missionaries. Really... it´s needed.

It´s amazing the miracles we can see through the Lord.
I am so grateful to be a missionary to see the miracles the Lord is working through others.
I am beyond blessed to watch these miracles unfold.

Today is our most relaxed p-day we´ve had for awhile.. and probably will have so I am incredibly grateful.
I think we will rest A LOT. Catch up on health... and sanity for a little bit.

Hey Brent Fisher... HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ... on the 12th. :)

On Saturday we get to go to the temple with a few of our investigators!
I´m so excited! We will definately be taking pictures.
Besides that.. we´re hoping the spirit will touch their hearts exaclty where they need it..
They believe and they want it, they just need that extra help. That extra answer.
And if anything can help them, it´s the spirit at the temple. :)

I hope you are all well! :) You´re in my prayers.

Transfers next week!

Transfers are next week and I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to stay her in Santa Gertrudes and I REALLY REALLY REALLY want Sister Tirrell to stay with me.
I honestly have no idea what´s going to happen, but i really believe we can see miracles here together in this next transfer!
Whatever happens though is in the Lord´s hands... so we´ll see... hahaha *crosses fingers*

We had a mission conference on Saturday in which Elder Ballard, Elder Anderson, and Elder Jenson of the Seventy came and spoke to us.
It was AMAZING! They are truely apostles of the Lord and you can feel it.
Their message was shortly this...
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only church with authority of God here on the Earth.
Baptism is not just a portal.. it is essencial to salvation. But it does not end there. We are aiming for the eternities. (yes!)

I left my journal at home so i´ll share more thoughts next week!
But their priesthood and knowledge of our Savior is undeniable.

Gregory. "You´re doing great." :)

Mary Mcbride! Thank you sooooo much for your message!
It was so cool to hear about your mom just after seend Elder Anderson!
I honestly needed exactly that this week. Thank you. Thank you.

And thank you everyone for  your messages and letters and notes.
I don´t know if you know, but you truely are inspired when you write to missionaries.
More often than you think... it´s exaclty what we need to hear when you just thought you were sending a little note.
So on behalf of missionaries everywhere... thank you. :)

Laura and Kari... thanks for the being the best friends a girl could ask for. :)

I´m out of time this week! I´ll catch you all next Wednesday after transfers!
I love you!
